Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2016, to Jan. 31, 2020. Signed on May 16, 2016.
Wage adjustments:
Effective ratification: Lump sum of $250.
Effective Feb. 1, 2017: Lump sum of $750.
Effective Feb. 1, 2018: Lump sum of $750.
Effective Feb. 1, 2019: 2%
Shift premium: $0.85 per hour for shifts starting after 10 p.m. High haz tech: $2 per hour. High haz foreman: $2.50 per hour. High haz foreman 1: $3 per hour.
Paid holidays: 10 days, 1 floater day, 2 half-days (Dec. 24, Dec. 31).
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half after 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for all transportation group workers, who work on Saturday or Sunday. Double time for work on a holiday.
Meal allowance: $15 if employee works 2 hours of overtime.
Vision: 1 pair of safety glasses, 1 pair of sunglasses every 2 years.
Sick leave: 3 days.
STD: 100% premiums covered by employer.
LTD: 100% premiums covered by employer.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, spouse, child). 3 days for death in extended family (brother, sister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent, step-grandparent).
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours.
Probationary period: 180 days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months or 18 months if suspension issued.
Severance: 5 days per year, minimum 8 days.
Safety shoes: $220 for safety boots.
Uniforms/clothing: 1 winter parka once every 2 years.
Mileage: $0.43 per kilometre.
