Renewal agreement: Effective Aug. 1, 2025 to July 31, 2028; signed Sept. 25, 2025
Wage adjustments:
2025: 4%
2026: 3%
2027: 3%
Overtime: 1.5 times regular rate of pay for more than 8 hours per day; all hours worked Saturdays. Double time for all hours worked Sundays and statutory holidays
Shift premium: $2 per hour for second shift starting at 2 pm or later; $3 for third shift starting at 10 pm or later
Vacation time: 2 weeks after 1 year of service; 3 weeks after 3 years of service; 4 weeks after 10 years of service; 5 weeks after 18 years of service
Paid holidays: New Year’s Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Remembrance Day, Canada Day, Christmas Day, Civic Day (August), Boxing Day, Family Day, Truth and Reconciliation Day
Probation: 90 days
Bereavement leave: Up to 3 days for immediate family (spouse, parents, children (including common law and stepchildren), siblings, parents-in-law, siblings-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren
Mileage: $0.55 per kilometre for work out of town
Safety allowance: $250 per year; maximum $400 for prescription safety glasses every 2 years
Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):
Heavy equipment technician/welder: $49.43 rising in 2 steps to $52.44
Mechanic, 4th year apprentice: $44.51 rising 2 steps to $47.22
Serviceman: $39.42 rising 2 steps to $41.82
