Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2026 to Dec. 31, 2028; signed Feb. 10, 2026
Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day, Civic Holiday
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks for 1 to 4 years of service; 3 weeks for 5 to 9 years; 4 weeks for 10+ years of service
Personal/sick days: 44 hours per year
Overtime: 1.5 times regular hourly wage beyond 44 hours per week; double time for Sundays
Bereavement leave: 5 days for immediate family (parents, parents-in-law, stepparents, grandchildren, spouse, child, siblings, stepchildren, grandparents); 3 days for siblings-in-law
Probationary period: 90 days
Discipline: Sunset clause of 18 months
Tool allowance: $1,500 for mechanics each year
Sample rates of pay:
- Excavator operator – landfill: $31.48 rising 2 steps to $33.48
- Rock truck drivers: $25.70 rising 2 steps to $27.70
- Mechanic: $41.99 rising 2 steps to $43.99
- Labourer: $22.81 rising 2 steps to $24.81
