Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 1, 2025 to Oct. 31, 2028; signed Oct. 29, 2025.

Shift premium: $1 per hour for lead hand; $0.50 for midnight shift.

Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Civic Holiday, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year; 3 weeks after 5 years; 4 weeks after 10 years; 5 weeks after 20 years

Personal days: 7 days after Nov. 1, 2025; 8 days after Nov. 1, 2026; 9 days after Nov. 1, 2027

Overtime: Time and one-half for hours in excess of 44 per week

Employee benefits: Monthly contributions from employer to for Plan A - Full Coverage: $300 as of Nov. 1, 2025; $305 as of Nov. 1, 2026; $310 as of Nov. 1, 2027.

Pension: Hourly contributions to fund: $1 as of Nov. 1, 2025; $1.50 as of Nov. 1, 2026; $2 as of Nov. 1, 2027

Bereavement leave: 5 paid days off plus 2 days off if required.

Probationary period: 90 days

Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.

Safety shoes: $125 per year for safety boots; $60 for safety shoes.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer supplies uniforms.

Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):

  • Light duty, with benefits: $19.55, rising 2 steps to $21.55
  • Heavy duty, with benefits $20.30, rising 2 steps to $22.30
  • Light duty, without benefits: $20.55, rising 2 steps to $22.55
  • Heavy duty, without benefits: $21.30, rising 2 steps to $23.30
