Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2026 to Feb. 28, 2029; signed Jan. 28, 2026

Wage adjustments:

  • 2026: 3.25%
  • 2027: 3%
  • 2028: 3%

Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day, Civic Holiday

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks for 1 to 9 years; 4 weeks for 10 to 18 years; 5 weeks for 19 to 24 years; 6 weeks for 25+ years

Personal/sick days: 3 per year; annual payout of 4 days if 0 sick days used; payout of 3 days if 1 sick day used; payout of 2 days if 2 sick days used; no payout if 3 sick days used

Overtime: 1.5 times regular hourly wage

Bereavement leave: Up to 4 days for immediate family (parents, parents-in-law, stepparents, spouse, children, siblings, legal guardians/wards, stepchildren, grandchildren, grandparents, siblings-in-law); 1 day for step grandparents, aunt or uncle, niece or nephew; up to 4 days unpaid if requested

Probationary period: 5 months

Discipline: Sunset clause of 6 months for lateness, absenteeism; 15 months for derogatory notations, written warnings

Safety boots: Up to $300 per year

Sample rates of pay:

  • Shift operator, standard level: $55.9 rising 2 steps to $59.33
  • Maintenance mechanic, standard level: $54.08 rising 2 steps to $57.38
  • Labourer, standard level: $36.55 rising 2 steps to $38.78
