Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2029
Wage adjustments:
- 2026: 3%
- 2027: 3%
- 2028: 2.5%
Paid holidays: New Year's Day, Family Day, Labour Day, Good Friday, Thanksgiving Day, Victoria Day, Christmas Day, Canada Day, Boxing Day, August Civic Holiday, Remembrance Day
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year of service; 3 weeks after 4 years; 4 weeks after 10 years; 5 weeks after 18 years; 6 weeks after 25 years
Personal/sick days: 56 hours’ sick leave per year
Overtime: 1.5 times regular hourly wage
Employee benefits: Teamsters Pension Plan, dental plan, STD/LTD plan
Bereavement leave: 3 days for immediate family (parents, parents-in-law, stepparents, spouse, child, siblings, stepchildren, grandparents, grandchildren, grandparents-in-law, siblings-in-law)
Probationary period: 180 days for full-time; 960 hours for part-time
Discipline: Sunset clause of 24 months
Safety shoes: $170 per year or $340 for 2 years
Uniforms/clothing: employer provides, launders outer work clothing for plant, lab and maintenance workers
Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):
- Maintenance & engineering: $44.74 rising in 3 steps to $48.61
- Lab technicians: $31.74 rising in 3 steps to $34.52
- Shunt drivers: $29.23 rising in 3 steps to $31.79
