Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2025. Signed on June 23, 2023.

Wage adjustments:

Effective July 1, 2022: $0.25 per hour plus further 3.24%

Effective July 1, 2023: 505%

Effective July 1, 202: 2%

Shift premium: 5% (previously 4%) of pay grade A, for all hours worked which fall outside normal work day.

Paid holidays: 13 days, including Easter Monday, National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Vacations with pay: 1.25 days per month to start, 1.67 days per month after 5 years, 2.08 days per month after 9 years, 2.50 days per month after 14 years, 2.92 days per month after 19 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for working hours on duty after 7-hour working day or 35-hour working week. Double time after 4 hours of overtime per day or 8 hours overtime per week. Double time for all hours worked on day employee who works on regular scheduled day of rest after 5-day workweek. May be taken as time off in lieu, maximum 70 hours of overtime.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Sick leave: 1.5 days per month. Employees may accumulate maximum 120 working days.

LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.

AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, parent-in-law, stepparent, child, stepchild, foster-child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandparent-in-law, grandchild, any other person residing in employee’s household, any other person with approval of appropriate director or vice-president).

Seniority – recall rights: 6 months to start; 12 months after 6 years of service. 12 months if employee is transferred to or is successful applicant for excluded position outside of bargaining unit or is on sick leave, maternity or parental leave.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ overtime, provided employee commences work. When employee arrives but does not commence work, employee will receive 2 hours’ overtime.

Probationary period: 6 month or 609 working hours, whichever is less (period may be extended, maximum 3 months).

Discipline: Sunset clause is 36 months for discipline which involves suspension or an issue which involves health and safety of students; 24 months for all other discipline.

Safety shoes: $500 for cost of footwear per year.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide protective clothing for any job which requires it at no cost to employee.
