Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2020 to March 31, 2023. Signed on April 29, 2021.

Shift premium: $0.30 per hour for all hours worked between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. $0.35 per hour for all hours worked between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. $0.40 per hour for all hours worked on Sundays. Employees who work split shifts will receive $0.20 per hour.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 1 year, 4 weeks or 8% after 8 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 27 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for work beyond 8 hours in 1 day, 40 hours in 1 week. Employees who are not denoted with asterisk in collective agreement may choose to take authorized time worked as compensatory time but must be taken within 4 weeks of time worked, failing which hours will be paid out.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums. $300 every 24 months per family member.

Sick leave: 1 day per month. Unused sick leave will be accumulated each fiscal year for future use, maximum 90 days. Employees will be permitted to use up to 5 days of accumulated sick leave each year, to attend medical appointments with doctors or dentists or care for ill family member who cannot care for themselves.

STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Coverage of 66 2/3% of weekly earnings, maximum 17 weeks.

LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Coverage of 66 2/3% of weekly earnings, maximum $2,500 per month.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums. Coverage of 2 times salary.

Pension: Multi-Sector Pension Plan. Employee contributes 5% into plan, employers contributes 5.5% into plan.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death parent, spouse (common-law, same-sex), child. 3 days for death of sister, brother, grandparents, grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, spouse’s grandparents, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. 1 day for death of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew. 1 half-day leave of absence, without pay, to attend funeral as pallbearer or mourner.

Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoff.

Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at any overtime rate.

Probationary period: First 12 months of employment.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for records of discipline, except for infractions in performance standard B; 12 months for medication errors.

Safety shoes: $200 per year, on final pay in December, after probation.

Uniforms/clothing: $75 once a year towards to purchase bathing suit for staff who regularly go swimming in municipal pool with people supported by employer.

Mileage: $0.46 for each kilometre travelled on employer business.
