Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 30, 2020 to Nov. 25, 2023. Signed on Nov. 28, 2020.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Nov. 30, 2022: 2.5%
Shift premium: $1 per hour (previously $0.25 per hour) for team leaders. $0.40 per hour for linkers, line drivers/tugger, shipping/receiving. $0.50 per hour for set-up injection molding. $0.40 per hour, $0.65 per hour respectively for second or third shifts.
Paid holidays: 7 days plus, Friday before Victoria Day, Friday before Labour Day, Friday before Thanksgiving and Christmas Period (Dec. 24 to Dec. 31).
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 80 hours or 4%, whichever is greater, after 1 year, 120 hours or 6%, whichever is greater, after 5 years, 160 hours or 6%, whichever is greater, after 15 years, 200 hours or 6%, whichever is greater, after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for any time worked after 40 hours per week. Double time for all work on Sunday, provided 40 hours of work have been performed in previous week.
Vision: $225 every 24 months. Maximum $85 every 24 months for eye exams.
Paramedical: $50 per visit per paramedical discipline, combined maximum of $500 per year for chiropractor, registered massage therapist (medical referral required) physiotherapist, naturopath or homeopath services.
AD&D: Coverage of $16,950 (previously $16,450).
Life insurance: Coverage of $33,900 (previously $32,900).
Bereavement leave: 3 days (maximum 24 hours of pay) for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, stepparent, grandparent, parent, stepparent, grandparent of current spouse, child, stepchild, grandchild, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, half-brother, half-sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law).
Seniority – recall rights: 36 consecutive months or period equal to employee’s seniority employee last performed work for employer, whichever is greater, after layoff.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay at appropriate rate.
Probationary period: 90 days worked within any period of 12 consecutive months from date of hire.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for suspensions, coaching and counselling notices.
Safety shoes: $130 (or what employee paid) for safety footwear, through employer-approved sources, once each year. Employer requires all employees to wear safety shoes.
Tool allowance: $400 per year for each skilled tradesperson.
