Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 20, 2021 to Feb. 19, 2024. Signed on Oct. 6, 2021.
Shift premium: 15% for all hours worked between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. $15 per tour of duty for employee temporarily assigned to perform work of higher-rated functional group.
Paid holidays: 9 days, including National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, plus 2 personal floater days per year. Personal floater days not taken during year are forfeited and cannot be carried over from 1 year to another.
Vacations with pay: 1.5 days per month, maximum 15 days to start, 15 days after 1 year, 20 days after 7 years, 23 days after 12 years, 25 days after 18 years, 30 days after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day; double time after 12 hours per day. May be accumulated and taken as time off in lieu, maximum 40 hours in bank.
Pension: Employees may contribute to DC plan. Employer will match contribution, maximum 6%.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law partner, parent, spouse/common-law partner of parent, guardian or child). 3 days for death of sister, brother, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, any relative residing in employee’s household. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months to start; 24 months after 1 year of service for layoffs.
Call-in pay: Employee will be paid from start of call at time and one-half for actual time worked, minimum 5 hours which will include 1 half-hour of travel time (all hours worked after 4 hours will be paid at double time).
Probationary period: 3 months of continuous and uninterrupted employment (time lost by probationary employee for personal or health reasons will be discounted from 3-month period).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for report on performance, letter of reprimand or notice of discipline.
Severance: 3 weeks of pay for each year of service, maximum 60 weeks.
Uniforms/clothing: $900 per year for video journalists who are regularly required to perform on-air. $700 per year per person (previously $400 per year per person) for professional makeup materials for on-air performances by video journalists and dry-cleaning of new clothing articles. Employer will maintain sufficient supply of protective clothing for employees working on assignments at transmitters, remotes, in extreme weather conditions, such as winter coats, raingear, coveralls.

Editor’s notes: Out-of-town assignments: $12 (previously $10) for breakfast; $16 (previously $14) for lunch; $28 (previously $25) for supper. Employee is only entitled to payments if on assignment that is outside of 60-kilometre radius from regular place of work. Paid education leave: Employer will donate $350 per year into special fund for paid education leave for Bell Media employees.
