Shift premium: $1 per hour for service technicians who have completed online courses from International. $0.75 per hour for service technicians who hold valid CVI license. $0.75 per hour for service technicians who hold valid endorsement class 1 or 3 (with air) licenses. $2.50 per hour for service line foreman. $1.10 per hour for service lead-hand. $3 per hour for all regular hours worked after 6 p.m. Monday to Friday; all hours worked on Saturday or Sunday. $2 per hour for hours worked offsite (training, internal travel excluded).
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 5 weeks plus 1 day after 21 years, 5 weeks plus 2 days after 22 years, 5 weeks plus 3 days after 23 years, 5 weeks plus 4 days after 24 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. In case of death, unpaid vacation money will be paid to estate of deceased employee.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of scheduled working hours or for hours worked on scheduled days off.
Vision: $225 every 12 months for 18 years and younger; $450 every 24 months for other persons covered. Reimbursement 100% for 1 eye exam every 2 years. $1,000. 1-time payment for laser eye surgery for employees only (no dependants) and $450 glass coverage may be used, if required.
STD: Coverage of 66 2/3% of regular earnings, maximum $1,000 per week, coverage commencing on first day of accident; eighth day of illness; payable for 26 weeks.
LTD: Coverage of 66 2/3% of monthly earnings, maximum $2,500 per month for first 26 weeks; after 26 weeks, 66 2/3% of monthly earnings, maximum $1,700 per month.
AD&D: Coverage of 1 times annual salary.
Life insurance: Coverage of 1 times annual salary.
Pension: Employer will contribute $29 per month (previously $28 per month) per year of service into Diamond International Trucks Ltd. Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days (after 3 months of service) for death of relative of either employee or spouse, common-law spouse (wife, husband, children, mother, father, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren). 1 additional day with pay if employee has to travel out of province.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year after layoff.
Probationary period: 60 days worked, may be extended further 30 days worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for disciplinary action; 24 months for incidents of sexual misconduct, racism, theft, gross negligence, bullying, threats of violence, acts of violence.
Severance: 40 hours after 3 months of service; 80 hours after 2 years of service.
Safety shoes: $15 per month, maximum 21 months, for CSA safety boots, related accessories.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply uniforms, coveralls, smocks, maximum 5 per week. Employer supply each parts employee with 4 work shirts to last employee for 1 year. In subsequent years, employer will issue 2 additional shirts per year if required, on anniversary date of first issue. Employer will supply 2 pairs of winter coveralls, 6 winter jackets for service employees. Employer will supply 3 winter jackets for parts department.
Tool allowance: $475 for journeyman, apprentice mechanics.

Editor’s notes: On-call pay: All journeyman, third-year apprentice parts technicians will rotate for on-call purposes: $300 for Saturday/Sunday coverage; $350 for Saturday/Sunday with statutory holiday coverage; week’s coverage falling on December statutory holidays will be paid additional $350 (total of $700); $80 per invoice generated or no-show. Tuition fees: Maximum $1,000 per level for training course tuition fees for apprentices (after 1 year of service) for parts technician, truck and transport mechanics (or equivalent).
