Wage adjustments:
Effective April 1, 2021: 1%
Effective April 1, 2022: 1%
Effective April 1, 2023: 1%
Paid holidays: 13 days.
Vacations with pay: 15 calendar days to start, 20 calendar days per year after 1 year, 25 calendar days per year after 5 years, 30 calendar days after 15 years. Employees working in day treatment will take annual vacation during school vacation periods other than when employer agrees otherwise.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours in excess of 40 per week and on holidays. In modified schedule, time and one-half for all hours in excess of 40 multiplied by number of weeks in modified schedule. Can be banked as time off, maximum of 40 hours. When employees are required to attend with clients on overnight assignments or assignments that require employee to stay out of town overnight, time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of normally scheduled hours on that day during first 16 hours of day; $10-per-hour night rate for every such hour during which employee supervises client for 17th to 24th hour worked in any calendar day.
Meal allowance: $8 for breakfast, $12 for lunch, $22 for dinner when employee is required to travel outside assigned work area.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for extended health care plan.
Dental: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums for dental plan.
Sick leave: 8.125 hours per month for permanent FTEs who work 32.5 hours per week; 8.75 hours per month for FTEs who work 35 hours per week; 9 hours per month for FTEs who work 36 hours per week; 10 hours per month for FTEs who work 40 hours per week. Cannot be carried over.
STD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employers under old plan prior to Oct. 1, 2020, contribute 3% of annual earnings, matched by employer. Employees can choose to contribute additional 2% to be matched by employer. All full-time employees after Oct. 1, 2020 must participate in OMERS pension plan with employer matching amount based on annual earnings as outlined by OMERS.
Bereavement leave: 5 paid days for death of spouse, common-law partner, parent, parent-in-law, child, grandchild, sibling, grandparent, relative who resides permanently with employee. 1 paid day for death of niece, nephew, child-in-law, sibling-in-law, aunt, uncle, grandparent-in-law.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months.
Call-in pay: On-call: Emergency duty workers receive $5 per hour between 4:30 p.m. and 9 a.m. on weeknights and 9 p.m. and 9 a.m. on weekends, plus staff person’s regular hourly rate, regardless of whether any calls are received. All on-call workers receive $5 per hour.
Probationary period: 910 hours of work, excluding overtime hours.
Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre when employee is authorized and required by employer to use employee’s vehicle for employer business.
