Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2022. Signed on Feb. 19, 2019.

Shift premium: 50% on trip rate for all trips on Remembrance Day, Christmas Day, New Years’ Day.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 8 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 18 years.  

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan.

Pension: Teamsters Prairie Provinces Pension Plan (T4P).

Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law , stepmother, stepfather, mother, father, guardian, sons, daughters, stepchild, brothers, sisters, grandparent, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchildren, any other immediate family recognized under Canadian Labour Code).

Seniority – recall rights: 90 days when employee receives leave of absence to take position within company which is beyond sphere of bargaining unit; 365 days should employee be hired by local union.

Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours of pay.

Probationary period: 120 calendar days of employment.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 6 months for operational issues; 24 months for preventable accidents, infractions covered under Highway Traffic Act, at-fault incidents of discrimination or harassment.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply regular drivers: 1 jacket; 2 ties; 3 pants; 3 shirts; 1 uniform cap. Thereafter employee will be given $300 per year ($150 of which can be used towards approved footwear) for purchase of any approved uniform item (unspent portion will be carried over).

Editor’s notes: Leave of absence: All employees with 25 years or more service will be entitled to 90 consecutive days leave of absence per year. Advancement fund: Employer will deduct $0.05 for every hour on which wages are payable to driver to Teamsters Local 362 advancement fund. Forced work: Any regular drivers forced to work on days off will be paid at time and one-half.
