Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2021 to Nov. 30, 2023. Signed on May 19, 2021.
Shift premium: $5 per hour for shifts that need to be temporarily filled, if shift goes unfilled and employee works majority of shift alone. $5 per hour for working short. $0.45 per kilometre for all staff working within framework-for-life program, maximum 50 kilometres per month per client.
Paid holidays: 9 days.
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 6% after 5 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for hours worked in excess of 264 hours in 1-month period. Time may be banked and used as time off.
Medical benefits: Employer will pay 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums for benefit service plan, administered by CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund for each employee who works regular shift.
Sick leave: 1% of all hours worked after 3 years of employment (sick bank will renew each calendar year and will not accumulate year over year nor be paid out).
Pension: Employer will contribute $0.30 or $0.315 or $0.32 or $0.36 or $0.45 or $0.46 (depending on employee classification), employee will match contribution to CLAC Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse (husband, wife, common-law partner), child (biological, adopted, foster-children, dependant to whom employee is primary caregiver or legal guardian), mother, father) plus reasonable amount of additional time off, without pay, upon request. Time off, without pay, for other family members not listed.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year to start; 2 years after 1 year of seniority.
Probationary period: 3 months.

Editor’s notes: Meetings: When employees are requested to attend individual management meetings or staff meetings outside of regular working hours, employees who attend such meetings will be paid minimum of 3 hours at appropriate rate of pay. Coaching, disciplinary meetings: Employees who attend such meetings on personal time will be paid minimum of 2 hours at regular rate of pay. Long-term employee bonus: Employees who surpass 10 years with employer will receive $500 bonus
