Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2020 to Jan. 31, 2023. Ratified on April 21, 2021. Signed on Feb. 1, 2020.
Shift premium: $0.40 per hour for hours worked on second shift. $0.50 per hour for hours worked on third shift. $0.15 per hour to employees working in department on shift when more employees are scheduled to work shift than on day shift in that department. $1 per hour for employee who is training another employee.
Paid holidays: 11 days plus 1 floating holiday.
Vacations with pay: 1 days per month, maximum 10 days, to start, 2 weeks after 2 years, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 22 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week; double time after 11 hours per day or 44 hours per week. Double time for work after 4 hours on Saturday; all work on Sunday. Time and one-half for all hours worked: on regularly scheduled day or days off.
Meal allowance: Hot meal or $14, when this is impractical, when employee works more than 2.2 hours overtime following regular shift of 8 hours. Employee who works more than 12 hours in 1 day will also receive hot meal.
Medical benefits: Employer will provide a health spending account of $350 per employee per year to be used to offset cost of massage therapy, chiropractic and physiotherapy only.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of father, mother, brother, sister, spouse, son or daughter, grandchild. 3 days for death of mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandmother, grandfather. 1 day for death of brother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle, niece, nephew, spouse’s grandmother, spouses’ grandfather.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year to start; 2 years after 2 years of seniority; 3 years after 3 years of seniority; 42 months after 4 years of seniority; 4 years after 5 years of seniority. 365 cumulative calendar days for employee who is transferred to job outside bargaining unit.
Call-in pay: 2 hours’ pay at straight-time rates plus time and one-half for all hours worked: outside regularly scheduled hours for employee called from home to perform work of emergent nature (defined as situation which requires immediate solution). Minimum 4 hours’ pay at straight time rates for emergency call-in.
Probationary period: 120 calendar days. If employee working in production who holds valid trade ticket, becomes successful applicant to trades position for first time, employee must complete 360 cumulative hours trial period in order to demonstrate capability for position.
Safety shoes: $225 per year for approved safety boots that must have metatarsal protectors.
