Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $0.40 per hour to each employee for hours worked during third (or afternoon) shift. $0.45 per hour for hours worked during first (or night) shift. $0.50 per hour for 12-hour night shifts. $1.25 per hour for all straight-time hours worked during 24-hour period beginning at start of regularly scheduled shift on Sunday.
Paid holidays: 11 days plus New Year’s Eve ( holiday will be split between Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve except for employees on straight days shift schedule).
Vacations with pay: 1 day per month of service, maximum 10 days, or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 1 year, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 12 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 25 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 2 hours worked beyond end of normal scheduled shift; double time after 2 hours of overtime. Time and one-half for first overtime shift on scheduled days off; double time on second overtime shift worked. Paid for all work after 160 hours in any 28-day period.
Meal allowance: $15 or hot meal if employee works 3 hours past end of scheduled shift.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Alberta Hospital and Medical Care Health Care Insurance Plan. Employer pays 100% of premiums for major medical plan.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums. 100% for basic; 50% for major restorative, orthodontia. Maximum $2,000 per person per year for basic, major restorative. Lifetime maximum $2,500, with annual maximum of $1,250.00 (at 50%) for orthodontia.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $225 in any 2 years for frames, lenses, fitting of prescription glasses, sunglasses, including contact lenses or additional $100 for prescription glasses only if prescription changes after 1 year per family member.
Paramedical: 80% coverage, maximum $400 per year for massage therapy from registered massage therapist or treatment from registered chiropractor. 80% coverage, maximum $1,000 per year for physiotherapy.
Weekly indemnity: Employer will pay cost for 80% of maximum EI insurable earnings, minimum $800 per week, after first day of accident, fourth day for sickness, first day of hospitalization, maximum 26 weeks.
LTD: Coverage of $1,200 per month or benefit provided under individual’s pension calculation, whichever is greater.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $50,000.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $50,000.
Pension: Employees will contribute $0.25 per hour for all hours worked, including hours paid for vacation, statutory holiday, weekly indemnity, maximum contribution of $450 per year into pension plan. Employees will also contribute 5%, matched by employer, after 120 days of employment, into DC plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of wife, husband, children, all corresponding common-law equivalents. 3 days for death of mother, father, brother, sister, grandparents, grandchildren, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, mother-in-law, father-in-law, all corresponding common-law equivalents.
Seniority – recall rights: Period of employment to start; 12 months after 12 months of service; 18 month after 3 years of service, for continuous layoffs. 18 months for employees off as result of illness or injury.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of straight-time pay (except where failure to so is because of non-operation of plant; substantial part thereof, as result of fire, act of God, failure of power or major breakdown of equipment). Double time when called out prior to shift.
Probationary period: 120 calendar days within 12 months from first date of employment.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Safety shoes: $200 per year to each employee for approved safety boots.

$2,500 bonus will be paid to employees who are currently working upon ratification of collective agreement. Employees on LTD are excluded from receiving payment.
Editor’s notes: Performance bonus plan (PBP): Employer will guarantee minimum payout level of productivity portion at $1.65 per hour on bonus plan. Physician fees: When employee is required to get signed document from employee’s personal doctor by either employer or its insurer, employer will reimburse employee for reasonable fees incurred. Hearing aids: Maximum of $1,000 per family member during any 36-month period.
