Renewal agreement: Effective May 27, 2023 to March 31, 2026. Signed on June 21, 2023.

Wage adjustments:

Effective year 2: 2.5%

Effective year 3: 2.5%

Shift premium: $2 per hour for all hours worked on second half of split shift, when employee has worked first half of split shift at normal rate, for part-time employee (premium will not be paid in cases when employee requests to work split shift).

Paid holidays: 10 days, plus National Day for Truth and Reconciliation.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 10 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 40 hours per week.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 50% of premiums, employee pays 50% of premiums.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law partner, father, mother, spouse or common-law partner of father or mother, employee’s children, children of employee’s spouse or common-law partner, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, grandfather, grandmother, father and mother of spouse or common-law partner of employee, spouse or common-law partner of father or mother, any relative of employee who resides with employee. Additional 2 days, without pay, if travel is required beyond 500 kilometres.

Seniority – recall rights: After layoffs, 12 months for employees with less than 1 year of service; 18 months for employees with 1 year of service; 24 months for employees with more than 2 years of service.

Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at regular rate of pay. $75 for first 2-hours of call out and additional $75 if call-in is longer than 2 hours if employee is called into work and not scheduled, outside of FBO operating hours of 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Probationary period: 120 days of employment for fulltime employees; 640 hours for part-time employees (period may be extended for additional 45 calendar days for full-time employees; 210 hours for part-time employees).

Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for all records or discipline.

Severance: 2 days for each year of service or 5 days, whichever is greater, with no maximum, to employees who are permanently laid off due to permanent, partial or total closure of employer’s workplace operations.

Safety shoes: $75 per employee per contract year for safety work boots (entitlement may be accumulated, maximum benefit of $150, in 2 -year period from date of last reimbursements).

Uniforms/clothing: Company will supply all personal protective clothing and other devices: safety glasses; petroleum-resistant gloves (for fueller); bump cap/hard hat (fuellers); high-visibility vests; extreme cold weather clothing; uniform made of natural fibre; hearing protection; safety harness (as required); masks; gloves; goggles for people who wear prescription glasses.

Editor’s notes: Humanity fund: Employer will pay $150 per year, to be paid in first month of following year, into USW humanity fund. Baggage deliveries: $5.50 per delivery address. $0.40 per kilometre if deliveries are in employer-provided vehicle. $0.80 per kilometre if employee uses personal vehicle.
