Wage adjustments:

Effective 2024: 4.5%

Effective 2025: 2.8%

Effective 2026: 2.5%

Shift premium: $7 per hour for each hour worked during 12:00 midnight and 6:00 a.m. Any shift that begins at or prior to 3:00 a.m. and continues past 6:00 a.m. will include the additional hourly premium until end of shift.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: On each pay cheque, a premium of 6% percent of the gross wages will be paid as vacation pay to each employee who is a member of the union. 8 PTO hours accrued per 500 hours worked up to a maximum of 24 hours of PTO paid in 8-hour increments at straight-time.

Overtime: 1.5 times the hourly rate up to and including the 12th hour for work performed after 8 hours in one day during the regular work week. 2 times the hourly rate up to and including the 14th hour for work performed after 12 hours in one day during the regular work week. 3 times the hourly rate up to and including the 16th hour for work performed after 14 hours in one day during the regular work week.

Sick leave: One day of paid time off to accommodate short-term illnesses.

Pension: Canada Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: For employees with 12 consecutive months of employment, up to 3 consecutive leave days with pay for death of a spouse, parent, father-in-law, mother-in-law, child, brother, sister, grandparent, grandchild, former guardian, ward or fiancée, or any other relative who has been residing in the same household. Where the burial occurs outside the province, leave shall be five 5 consecutive days: 3 days with pay and 2 days leave.

Probationary period: 12 weeks.

Sample rates of pay (current, after increase):

Head Carpenter: $40.36, up 2 steps to $42.53.

Scenic / Sign Painter: $35.17, up 2 steps to $37.06.

Truck loaders: $28.34, up 2 steps to $29.86,

Editor’s notes: There shall be a 10-hour rest period between the wrap-out time of one call and the beginning of another call.
