Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 7, 2024: 3%
Shift premium: 105% for lead-hand. 110% for foreperson 1. 112% for foreperson 2. 110% for labour foreperson 1. 112% for labour foreperson 2.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: All employees will receive 6% of base wage for all straight-time hours worked, excluding overtime hours, as vacation pay; 8% after 10,000 continuous hours worked. Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business requirements.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day and 44 straight-time hours per week. Double time for all hours worked after 12 hours per day. On projects with established shifts, overtime will be paid when employee works on regularly scheduled day off or on Sunday.
Meal allowance: If employees are not scheduled but work after 12 hours in 1 day, employer will provide unpaid meal period of 1 half-hour and meal for employees.
AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.
Pension: Employer will match contributions to pension plan for all hours worked: 1% to begin; 2% after 5,000 continuous hours worked; 2.5% after 10,000 continuous hours worked; 3% after 20,000 continuous hours worked.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, child, legal dependant, parents, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren.
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours pay at appropriate rate for each call-in.
Probationary period: 90 calendar days.
Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots to be provided by employer. Each employee is eligible for $150 for boots, 1 time per year.
Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety hats to be provided by employer. Employer will furnish employees with gloves, non-prescription safety glasses, hard-side shields for prescription safety glasses, fire-retardant coveralls, raingear, particulate masks, breathing apparatuses, fall-arrest equipment, when required.
Mileage: When employee uses personal vehicle to perform work duties, employer will pay employee $20 per day flat rate or $0.52 per kilometre, whichever is greater.
