Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025. Signed on July 1, 2023.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 7, 2024: 3%
Shift premium: 150% for lead-hand. 112% for foreperson 1. $3.50 per hour for night shift. $0.25 per hour for first-aid ticket.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: All employees will receive 6% of base wage rate for all straight-time hours worked, excluding overtime hours, as vacation pay; 8% after 10,000 hours worked. Employer will consider vacations at times requested considering business requirements.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 8 hours per day and 40 regular straight-time hours per week. Overtime will be paid when employee works on regularly scheduled day off. Time and one-half for all hours worked on Sunday, regardless of number of hours worked that week.
Meal allowance: 1 half-hour paid meal period and 1 meal will be provided by employer for employees who works after 12 hours in 1 day.
Medical benefits: CLAC Health and Welfare Trust Fund.
AD&D: Coverage of $100,000.
Life insurance: Coverage of $100,000.
Pension: Employer will match employee contribution into pension plan: 1% up to 4,999 hours worked; 2% after 5,000 hours worked; 2.5% after 10,000 hours worked; 3% after 20,000 hours worked.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, child, legal dependant, parents, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother, brother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren).
Seniority – recall rights:
Call-in pay: Minimum 2 hours’ pay at appropriate rate.
Probationary period: 90 calendar days.
Safety shoes: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety boots furnished by employee. Effective June 1, 2024: $150 per year and will be paid to each employee on June 1 of each year.
Uniforms/clothing: All employees will wear CSA-approved safety hats to be made available by employer.
Mileage: $0.68 per kilometre when employee is using personal vehicle to perform work duties for employer.

Editor’s notes: Training trust fund: Employer will contribute 0.65% of base wage rate of each employee for all hours worked by all employees to fund. Prescription safety eyewear: Employer will reimburse employee 50% of cost of prescription safety eyewear, maximum $300.
