Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 4, 2023 to May 31, 2024. Signed on Jan. 30, 2023.
Shift premium: 1 extra hour of regular-time pay per day for employee assigned to train another employee. 1 extra hour per trip for lead-hands, who will focus on duties which drive operational excellence but will not be involved in disciplinary activities as related to union member. 1 hour of additional regular pay per day, regardless of whether employee has worked 8 hours or not for employee assigned to drive employee shuttle to and from site.
Paid holidays: 9 days.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks or 6% to start, 4 weeks or 8% after 7 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half all hours after 8 hours per day; for all hours worked on employee’s designated day of rest; on general holiday.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 50%, employee pays 50% for Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan.
Sick leave: Maximum 5 days per year.
Pension: Employer will contribute $1.50 per hour to Teamsters Prairie Provinces Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: Employee will receive appropriate leave of absence for death in immediate family (spouse, mother, father, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchildren, common-law spouse, stepmother, stepfather).
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs. 90 days when employee within bargaining unit receives leave of absence to take position with employer that is beyond sphere of bargaining unit.
Probationary period: First day following 90 calendar days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for disciplinary records.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply all employees with 1 winter jacket, safety vests, winter toques, 1 uniform cap (when available), 4 shirts, 2 pants, winter and summer gloves (replaced as needed). Employer will provide $250 per year for approved safety clothing allowance or approved personal protective equipment allowance or footwear allowance that meets CSA approval, after 9 months of employment.

Drivers
Start: $35.20
After 2 years of employment: $37.20
Editor’s notes: Leaves of absence: All employees with 25 years or more of service, will be entitled to 90 consecutive days leave of absence per year. Other leave of absences will not be unreasonably denied. Bus cleaning: All employees who are assigned to clean bus will be paid applicable hourly rate for all hours worked cleaning. Licensing medicals: $150 will be reimbursed to employees for driver’s medicals that are required to maintain driver’s license. Advancement fund: Employer will contribute $0.05 per hour to General Teamsters, Local 362 union/industry advancement fund.
