Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 1, 2018 to Sept. 30, 2022. Signed on Sept. 20, 2018.
Shift premium: $2 per hour for all shifts between noon and 6a.m. (not subject to overtime).
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 2 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 9 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 12years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work in excess of daily hours.
Pension: Employer will contribute $4.50 per hour (previously $4.40 per hour) to Teamsters Prairie Provinces Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, mother, father, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, son, daughter, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, spouses, grandparents, grandchildren, stepmother, stepfather, stepson, stepdaughter, common-law spouse (provided common-law spouse is recorded with employer) plus any others referenced in Alberta Employment Standards Code). 2 additional days for out-of-town travel more than 200kilometres.
Seniority – recall rights: 12months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ at applicable rate of pay. If more than 4 hours are worked, employee will be paid for all hours worked only. Employer will cover cost of transportation via taxicab (if required) to and from work place.
Probationary period: 90 calendar days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 1year. Further incidences where written reprimand or warning letter is deemed necessary, only preceding disciplinary actions within previous 6months will compound and be taken into account in implementing further corrective action.
Severance: 1 week’s full pay — based on employee’s pay at time of severance — for each year of service beginning with first year of service. 1 week’s full pay for each year of service beginning after 12 months of employment, maximum 10 weeks, if employer had to close down for lack of work or if employer lost contract.

Editor’s notes: On-call: Employees who are on-call will receive 4 hours’ pay at regular rate for each 24-hour period on-call. Employees on-call who work will be paid greater of hours actually worked or on-call payment. Safety glasses: $300 every 2 years for prescription safety glasses. Travel costs: Employer will pay $20 per day travel to any employee who travels to Fort McKay Industrial Park.
