Wage adjustments:
Effective May 1, 2019: 2.25%
Effective May 1, 2020: 2%

Shift premium: $1.75 per hour for employee working on shifts, half or more of hours are regularly scheduled between 4 p.m. and 8 a.m. $1.75 per hour for employee working on shifts during weekend. $800 per year for employees who occupy bilingual position and who can demonstrate proficiency.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 1.25 days per month worked to start, 1 2/3 days per month worked after 8 years, 2 1/12 days per month worked after 17 years, 2.5 days per month worked after 28 years. During any vacation year, upon application by employee, earned but unused vacation leave credits greater than 15 days may be paid in cash at employee’s daily rate on Dec. 31 of previous year.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of employee’s normal scheduled daily hours and for all hours worked on first day of rest. Employee who reports for work as directed on day of rest will be compensated for time actually worked or minimum 3 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate, whichever is greater. Double time for work on scheduled day of work or first day of rest, after period of overtime equal to normal hours of work per week and on second or subsequent day of rest, provided days of rest are consecutive, except that they may be separated by holiday. May be taken as leave with pay.
Meal allowance: $9 (except where free meal is provided or when employee is being compensated on some other basis) for employee who works 3 or more hours of overtime immediately before employee’s scheduled hours of work and who has not been notified of requirement prior to end of employee’s last scheduled work period. Additional $9 for every subsequent 4 hours of work.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: 1.25 days for each month.
LTD: Employee pays 100% of premiums.
Pension: Employee may contribute to DB plan, Canadian Airports Council Pension Plan (CAC Pension Plan), available only to employees who transferred from Transport Canada on May 1, 2001 or DC plan for all other employees.
Bereavement leave: 7 consecutive days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, fiancé, child, child of spouse, stepchild, ward of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, great-grandparent, grandchild, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, relative residing in employee’s household). Additional 3 days for travel relating to death. 1 to employee to attend funeral as pallbearer.
Seniority – recall rights: 120 days for employees temporarily appointed or on acting assignment outside bargaining unit.
Call-in pay: 3 hours’ pay at applicable rate of overtime compensation for each call-in, maximum 8 hours’ compensation in 8-hour period or for all time worked at applicable rate of overtime compensation. $12 except where free meal is provided or when employee is being compensated on some other basis for employee who works maintenance or ERS shift and works 3 or more hours of in excess of shift. Additional $12 for each subsequent 4 hours.
Probationary period: Newly hired AOS will complete probationary period of maximum 12 months, but not less than 6 months, which is tied to completion of certification process. All other newly hired employees will complete 6-month probationary period, that may be extended, maximum 12 months, to complete training.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for any document or written statement related to disciplinary action.
Severance: 2 weeks’ pay for first year of employment, subsequent to May 1, 2001, and 1 week’s pay for each additional year of employment on first layoff. 1 week’s pay for each year of employment, less any period which employee was given severance pay on second or subsequent layoffs.
Safety shoes: $150 per year (previously $113 per year).
Mileage: $0.50 per kilometre when employer requested; $0.15 per kilometre (previously $0.12 per kilometre) when employee requested when employee travels on employer business.
