Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2016, to March 31, 2019. Signed in October 2016.
Shift premium: Screening officers acting as team leaders will receive maximum hourly rate for screening officers, plus additional $2.35 per hour.
Paid holidays: 11 days. 
Vacations with pay: 10 days or 4% after 1 year, 15 days or 6% after 5 years, 20 days or 8% after 10 years, 25 days or 10% after 15 years. 
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for employees working eighth-straight day. 
Medical benefits: Steelworkers Trusteed Benefit Plan. Employer will contribute: $1.55 per hour effective Sept. 4, 2016; $1.65 per hour effective March 19, 2017; $1.70 per hour effective April 1, 2018. (Previously $1.40 per hour).
Sick leave: 8 days per year (previously 4 days per year). Employees may bank maximum 24 days (previously 16 days) and any surplus will be paid out as of Dec. 15 each year.
Pension: Employer will contribute 4%, employee will contribute 4% to Steelworkers Members’ Pension Benefit Plan or group RSP.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse or children. 4 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandmother, spouse’s sister, spouse’s brother, spouse’s grandmother, spouse’s grandfather, brother’s spouse, sister’s spouse, employee’s grandchildren). 
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay or time and one-half for hours worked.
Probationary period: 90 days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply uniform that it requires employees to wear and will provide any necessary alterations costs.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 6.6% increase):
Level 1: $16.77 rising 3 steps to $17.88
Level 2: $17.91 rising 3 steps to $19.10
Level 3.1 (0 to 2,080 hours worked): $19.05 rising 3 steps to $20.32
Level 3.2 (2,081 to 4,160 hours worked): $19.45 rising 3 steps to $20.75
Level 3.3 (4,161 to 6,240 hours worked): $19.82 rising 3 steps to $21.14
Level 3.4 (6,240+ hours worked): $20.25 rising 3 steps to $21.60
Team leader: $22.60 rising 3 steps to $23.95
Lump-sum payments: 500 to full-time employees, $200 to part-time employees
Editor’s notes: Humanity fund: Employer agrees to deduct $0.01 per hour per employee for international aid and development to the USW humanity fund. Northern allowance: $108.77 effective Sept. 4, 2016; $109.86 effective March 19, 2017; $110.96 effective April 1, 2018. Parking: Employer will pay monthly parking for all employees covered before Sept. 1, 2016. Employees hired Sept. 1, 2016, or later will be required to contribute 20% for monthly parking at Thompson Airport. T-4 income: Additional $3,000 portion of annual income has been identified as: “Travel in a prescribed area” and will be entered in box 32 of employee’s T-4 slip.
