Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2018 through March 31, 2022. Signed on Feb. 1, 2019.

Wage adjustments:

Effective April 1, 2018: 1.25%

Effective Sept. 30, 2018: 1.25%

Effective March 31, 2019: 1.25%

Effective Sept. 29, 2019: 1.25%

Effective April 12, 2020: 1.25%

Effective Oct. 12, 2020: 1.75%

Effective March 28, 2021: 1.5%

Effective Sept. 26, 2021: 1.75%

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% after 1 years, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 7 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 11 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work on sixth day; double time for all work on seventh day. Time and one-half for work on first day off; double time for all work on second day off. Minimum 4 hours of pay at applicable overtime rate for employee called in after working day completed or for employee called in on days off.

Meal allowance: $16 after 2 hours of work if employee works unscheduled overtime and is not notified before beginning regular shift.

Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $224.30 per month, employee will contribute $25 per month (without STD, LTD); employer will contribute $287.12 per month, employee will contribute $25 per month (including STD, LTD) into Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan.

Sick leave: 7 days per year (previously 6 days per year) for full-time employees who have attained level 3 CATSA (Canadian Air Transport Security Authority) certification and completed 2,080 hours of service.

Pension: Employer will contribute $1.20 per hour (previously $1.15 per hour) for each hour worked for all employees who have attained level 3 CATSA certification to Prairie Teamsters Pension Plan. Effective March 19, 2021: $1.25 per hour.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, stepmother, stepfather, spouse, common-law spouse, children, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandchildren, grandparents). 1 day, without pay, for death of aunt, uncle, or if employee has been asked to be pallbearer.

Seniority – recall rights: 180 days for employee promoted to position outside bargaining unit

Probationary period: 90 calendar days.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for all discipline; if employee has had additional discipline imposed, 6 additional months may be added.

Safety shoes: Employer will provide footwear as part of uniform, but if employee declines footwear provided, employee will be given $65 on Jan. 1 of each year to be used towards purchase of footwear (footwear must meet employer’s approval).

Uniforms/clothing: All uniforms, when supplied by employer, will be without cost to employee. Adequate winter wear will be provided by employer. $16 (previously $14) cleaning allowance will be provided by employer for every 4 weeks of work.

Mileage: $0.48 per kilometre (non-taxable) when employee uses own vehicle as transportation.

L1: $18.91 rising 7 steps to $20.89

L3.1 (0 to 2,080 hours): $21.35 rising 7 steps to $23.58

L3.2 (2,081 to 4,160 hours): $21.79 rising 7 steps to $24.06

L3.3 (4,161 to 6,240 hours): $22.20 rising 7 steps to $24.52

L3.4 (6,241+ hours): $22.64 rising 7 steps to $25

TL rate 12.5% L3.4: $25.47 rising 7 steps to $28.13

Scheduler and TC: $26.90 rising 7 steps to $29.70

Red-circle salary protected: $30.15 rising 7 steps to $33.30

Editor’s notes: Industry fund: Employer will pay $6 per month for each employee to union’s industry advancement fund. Personal leave: Employer will grant 6 unpaid days per year to employees for personal leave. Days may be taken in single or multiple days. Bilingual service: Each shift will have maximum 3 employees who provide bilingual service (French, English) at domestic screening area; maximum 2 employees providing service at international screening area. Any new screening point that is activated will require minimum 1 bilingual agent for every 2 lines. Extra skills, requirements: When employer requires employee to take first-aid course — or course of any other type — actual time spent taking course will be work time; will be paid at straight-time rate. Parking: Employer will pay 100% of cost of staff parking at Winnipeg International Airport. Where employee does not require parking, employee will be paid equivalent of cost of parking, biweekly, as transportation allowance. For employees hired after Jan. 23, 2016, cost of employee parking, transportation allowance will be shared 50/50 by employee and employer. Out-of-town work: $75 per day to each employee, inclusive of day of departure and day of return to Winnipeg. Air fare, hotel expenses will be arranged and paid by employer.
