Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2023. Signed on Nov. 29, 2019.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 1 day per month, maximum 2 weeks, to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 7 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 11 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all time worked on first day worked during days off; double time for all time worked on subsequent second or third consecutive day off.

Meal allowance: $15 meal credit for employee working 3 hours of overtime.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Prairie Teamsters Health and Welfare Plan, after 90 calendar days from date of employment.

Sick leave: 3.07% of employee’s regular hours worked for equivalent of 8 sick days per year.

Pension: Employer will pay $1.06 per hour (previously $1.01 per hour) into Prairie Teamsters Pension Plan. Effective April 1, 2021: $1.11 per hour. Effective April 1, 2022: $1.16 per hour.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (mother, father, spouse, common-law spouse, children, sister, brother , mother-in-law, father-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, stepchildren, stepparents, grandchildren, grandparents, any relative of employee who resides with employee.) Additional 7 days, without pay, may be given to attend funeral outside of 700-kilometre radius from employee’s normal work location. 5 days, without pay, for death of family member not covered.

Call-in pay: Minimum of 4 hours' pay at applicable overtime rate of pay.

Probationary period: 75 calendar days (period will be extended by equivalent number of calendar days of any absence by employee). Employee will be required to successfully complete screening-officer training and obtain level 3 CATSA certification.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for any disciplinary record.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply all uniforms.

TL premium rate: $28.50

Lump-sum payment of $400 for full-time employees, $200 for part-time and casual employees, 30 days after ratification date.

Another lump-sum payment of $400 for full-time employees, $200 for part-time and casual employees will be paid on April 1, 2020.

Editor’s notes: Inoculations: Employer will reimburse $25 per year for flu shot and hepatitis vaccinations. Extra skills: If employer requires employee to take first-aid course, or course of any other type, actual time spent will be deemed to be work time, and will be paid at straight-time rate of pay. Parking allowance: Employer will pay 100% of cost of staff parking for employees at Grande Prairie Airport with service date prior to Jan. 1, 2016. For employees hired Jan. 1, 2016 or later, employer will pay 50% of cost of staff parking.
