Renewal agreement: Effective July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2022. Ratified on Aug. 12, 2019. Signed on Aug. 30, 2019.
Paid holidays: 10 days.
Vacations with pay: 12.5 hours per month to start, 13.75 hours per month after 16 years, 14.375 hours per month after 17 years, 15.625 hours per month after 18 years. Employee who has completed 6 months of employment may receive advance of credits equivalent to anticipated credits for vacation year. Employees are expected to take all vacation leave during vacation year in which it is earned (however, unused portion of employee’s vacation-leave credits, maximum 300 hours, will be carried over into following vacation year). Employees will be credited 1-time entitlement of 37.5 hours of vacation leave on first day of month following anniversary of employee’s second year of service.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for employee wellness support program.
Sick leave: 9.375 hours for each month in which employee receives pay for at least 75 hours. Employee who has insufficient sick leave credits to cover leave may be given repayable advance of credits, maximum 13 weeks. Employees are entitled to carry over maximum 3 days of unused credits remaining at end of year, for use in following year.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years or 4 years for any verbal or written reprimand documents or statements related to disciplinary action.
Severance: 2 weeks’ pay after 1 year of service; 3 weeks’ pay after 10 years or service; 4 weeks’ pay (plus 1 week for each additional year of service) after 20 years of service for first layoff. 1 week’s pay for each year of service for second and subsequent layoffs. 1 week’s pay for each year of employment, maximum benefit of 27 weeks’ pay for rejection on probation, when employee has completed more than 1 year of employment.

Editor’s notes: Workload adjustment: Where in given academic year employee is assigned overload teaching duties, teaching workload will be reduced in 1 of 2 following years by amount equivalent to overload. Each employee will have continuous period of minimum 3 months in every academic year which is free of scheduled teaching duties. Furlough leave: 5 weeks’ leave with pay after 20 years of service. Sabbatical travel expenses: $4,000 for 12-month sabbatical; $2,000 for 6-month sabbatical to offset travel expenses. Pedagogical break: Employees will be granted 4 days of leave, with pay, which will be taken on first 4 working days after Dec. 26. Administrative allowance: Employee who acts as head of department will receive: $4,100 for 1 to 10 full-time faculty members; $4,600 for 11 to 15 full-time faculty members; $5,100 for 16 or more full-time faculty members. Professional development allocation: Each employee will be allocated $1,550 for professional development expenses per fiscal year; $2,000 for professional development expenses per fiscal year for employee with less than 6 years’ experience as university faculty member.
