Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2022 to Dec. 31, 2024. Signed on Oct. 18, 2022.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 1, 2022: 1%
Effective Jan. 1, 2023: 1%
Effective Jan. 1, 2024: 1%
Shift premium: $1.23 per hour (previously $0.98 per hour) for all hours worked between 5 p.m. and 7 a.m. (when more than 50% of hours worked fall within period, premium will be paid for all hours worked).
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 1 1/4 days per month to start, 1 2/3 days per month after 8 years, 2 1/12 days per month after 15 years, 2 1/2 days per month after 26 years. When employee has completed 25 years of service, on that occasion only, 5 additional days of vacation will be added to accumulated entitlement.
Overtime: Paid at time and one-half.
Meal allowance: 1 meal, maximum $11.25 (except where free meals are provided or where employee is being compensated for meals on some other basis) for employee who works more than 2 hours of overtime immediately following scheduled hours without notification to work such overtime.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Paramedical: $30 for each visit (previously $25 for each visit), annual maximum $1,200 per type of practitioner for speech therapist; $30 per half-hour (previously $25 per half-hour), annual maximum $1,400 for chiropractor, osteopath, naturopath, podiatrist, physiotherapist, masseur (if licensed and practising within scope of license).
Sick leave: 1 1/4 days per month worked.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage equal to 100% of annual salary or $10,000, whichever is greater.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse, mother, father, mother in-law, father-in-law, son, daughter, brother, sister, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, ward, guardian, stepson, stepdaughter, stepmother, stepfather, stepgrandparent, stepgrandchild, same-sex spouse. 1 day leave, without pay, for death and to attend funeral of aunt, uncle, niece, nephew.
Seniority – recall rights: 24 months after their lay-off
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at time and one-half.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 3 years for any letter of reprimand, suspension or other sanction; 2 years for letter of counsel (which is non-disciplinary and cannot be grieved).
Mileage: Ranging from $0.40 per kilometre for up to 4,000 kilometres driven to $0.24 per kilometre for more than 24,000 kilometres driven for southern Ontario. Ranging from $0.41 per kilometre for up to 4,000 kilometres driven to $0.25 per kilometre for more than 24,000 kilometres driven for northern Ontario.
