Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 23, 2022 to Jan. 20, 2024. Signed on Jan. 31, 2022.
Shift premium: $0.50 per hour for 0 to 2,000 hours worked as steward; $1 per hour for 2,001 or more hours worked as steward.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: All employees will receive 6% of their regular earnings as vacation pay on each pay cheque. Employer will consider vacations at times requested subject to business requirements.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked after 9 regular straight-time hours worked on 1 day or all hours after 44 regular straight-time hours worked per week.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 60% of premiums, employee pays 40% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will offer group RRSP and employer will contribute 3% or 4% based on employee contributions.
Bereavement leave: 2 days for death occurs in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, child, parent, sibling, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandchild, grandparent).
Probationary period: 90 work days.
Safety shoes: Employees who have 1,850 hours with PCL company, and haven’t utilized boot allowance, will receive $175 on date of ratification. Allowance can occur every 1,850 hours and cannot be banked for payments above $175.
Tool allowance: All tradespersons will supply own tools common to trade, except power tools.
