Wage adjustments:
Effective Jan. 31, 2019: 2%
Effective Jan. 31, 2020: 2%
Effective Jan. 31, 2021: 2%
Shift premium: $0.75 per hour for all hours worked between midnight and 7 a.m. on graveyard shift. $2 per hour for all hours worked as first-aid attendants.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 4% to start, 10 days or 4% after 1 year, 15 days or 6% after 5 years, 20 days or 8% after 10 years, 25 days or 10% after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Double time after 12 hours per day.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for basic provincial medical plan for employee and families.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $200 every 24 months if 18 or older and 12 months if 17 or younger. Includes prescribed eyeglasses, contact lenses, laser eye corrective surgery, prescription sunglasses, prescription safety glasses. Annual eye examinations covered separately up to reasonable and customary fees.
Sick leave: 3 8-hour paid days per year. Employees hired after end of first pay period of each year will not receive paid sick days until following year. Unused days will be paid out in first quarter of following year.
LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (spouse, parent, guardian, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, sibling, child, grandchild of employee, someone living with employee as member of family). Upon request, employee will receive maximum 3 additional days without pay of leave.
Seniority – recall rights: 16 weeks for layoff; 6 months if employee accepts employment in non-bargaining unit position within Hard Rock or at another Great Canadian worksite; 3 years for medical leave.
Probationary period: 650 hours or 5 months worked, whichever is greater.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 17 months.
Severance: 1 week after 3 months of service; 2 weeks after 12 months of service; 3 weeks plus 1 week per additional year of service, maximum total 8 weeks, after 3 years of service.
Uniforms/clothing: When employer provides specific clothing that employee is required to wear, clothing will be supplied to employee at no cost. Uniforms will be repaired or replaced when no longer serviceable at no cost to employee. New shirts will be provided when required. Cleaning allowance: $1.25 per shift for supervisors, security officers; $1 per shift for all other employees.
