Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2019 to March 31, 2022. Ratified on Jan. 25, 2019. Signed on Nov. 1, 2018.

Wage adjustments:

Effective April 1, 2019: 2%

Effective April 1, 2020: 2%

Effective April 1, 2021: 2%

Shift premium: Casual availability bonus: $2 per hour for all hours worked at end of each 3-month period for casual employees eligible to receive bonus. $0.70 per hour for evening shift. $3.50 per hour for night shift. $2.30 per hour for each hour worked between 11p.m. on Friday and 11 p.m. on Sunday. $1 per hour for each hour worked between 11:30 p.m. on Friday and 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, and between 11:30 p.m. on Saturday and 7:30 a.m. on Sunday (premium will be in addition to night, weekend premiums). $5 per hour for every hour that unit, department or program is working short for units, departments or programs with 10 or fewer nurses within same baseline classification on unit; $3 per hour for every hour that unit, department or program is working short for units, departments or programs with 11 or more nurses within same baseline classification on unit. $2 per hour for each hour worked for employees who work straight-time shift within 24-hours of start of shift. $1.25 per hour for nurse 3 general duty nurse designated in charge of unit, department or worksite. $9.38 per shift to nurses designated in charge of worksite for specified shift. $1.25 per hour for nurse 3 nurse who relieves in higher rated position within bargaining unit.

Paid holidays: 12 days.

Vacations with pay: 20 days after 1 year, 21days after 5years, 22days after 6years, 23 days after 7 years, 24 days after 8years, 25 days after 9 years, 26days after 10 years, 27 days after 11years, 28 days after 12years, 29 days after 13years, 30 days after 14 years, 31 days after 15years, 32 days after 16years, 33 days after 17 years, 34 days after 18 years, 35days after 19years, 36 days after 20years, 37 days after 21 years, 38 days after 22 years, 39 days after 23years, 40 days after 24years, 41 days after 25 years, 42 days after 26 years, 43 days after 27years, 44 days after 28years, 45 days after 29years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 150 hours per 4-week period. May be banked, maximum 45 straight-time hours. Time and one-half for first 2 hours after normal daily shift or after normal weekly shift. Double time after 2 hours of overtime or on scheduled day off.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for Medical Services Plan of B.C. and for Pacific Blue Cross Plan.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums for basic plan, 60% of premiums for extend plans B and C. $2,750 lifetime maximum for orthodontic services.

Vision: $350 every 24 months per employee or dependant.

Sick leave: 1.5 days for each month of service, maximum 156 days. Employees leaving workforce on or after 55th birthday will be entitled to cash payment equal to 40% of value of accumulated credits.

LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $50,000.

Pension: Municipal Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of spouse (including common-law), child, stepchild, parent, stepparent, brother, sister, stepbrother, stepsister, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandparents, grandchild, legal guardian, relative residing in employee’s household. 2 additional days for travelling time when warranted in judgment of employer.

Call-in pay: Minimum of 2hours’ pay at appropriate overtime rates for each separate call-in. May be paid out in cash or taken as time off. Employee called in to worksite, office or client’s home will receive travel allowance of mileage allowance at rates set by Canada Revenue Agency or if public or private transportation facilities are not available, taxi fare from home to hospital and return, minimum $2 for each round-trip.

Probationary period: 3months of employment for probationary employees; 1 year for post-probationary employees.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18months for disciplinary actions, including letters of expectation; 18 months following expiry of suspension for records of suspensions.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide uniforms to employees that will be laundered by employer.
