Wage adjustments:

Shift premium: $1.50 per hour (previously $1.25 per hour) for work Monday to Thursday inclusive between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. $2.25 per hour for work Monday to Thursday inclusive between 11 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. $1.50 per hour for work Saturday and Sunday between 6:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. $2.25 per hour for work Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between 3 p.m. and 11 p.m. $3 per hour for work on weekend night Friday, Saturday, and Sunday between 11 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. $1.50 per hour for employee who is responsible for calling replacement staffing between 3:30 p.m. and 8 a.m. every day of week. $1.50 per hour for every hour assigned to provide training or designate to provide training duties or orientation. $2 per hour for each assigned hour of on-call duty.
Paid holidays: 13 days.
Vacations with pay: 3 weeks or 6% to start, 4 weeks or 8% after 6 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 15 years, 6 weeks or 12% after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day or 80 hours in 2-week rotation for Gibbons location; time and one-half for work after 7.5 hours per day or 75 hours in 2-week rotation for Westlock location. Time may be banked but will be paid out if not used within 6 months of earning it.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.
Dental: Coverage of 80% for basic; 50% for major, maximum $2,500 per year.
Vision: Coverage of $300 per year.
Sick leave: 1.5 days for each month, maximum 800 hours.
Life insurance: Employer pays 70% of premiums, employee pays 30% of premiums.
Pension: Employer will contribute 4%, employee will contribute 4% into Nursing Homes and Related Industries Pension Plan (NHRIPP). Employer will match 100%) of employee’s contribution from 2% up to 5% of applicable earnings into group RRSP program.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (spouse, children, stepchildren, parents, stepparents, brothers, sisters, mother-in-law, father-in-law, stepsister, stepbrother, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandparents, stepgrandparents, grandchildren (relationships are deemed to include current common-law relationships)). 1 day for death in extended family (aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins (relationships are deemed to include current common-law relationships)). Additional 2 days for immediate family member if travel greater than 400 kilometres from employee’s residence is necessary.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months following layoff.
Probationary period: 400 hours or 6 months, whichever occurs first.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for letters of expectation or notices of discipline.
Safety shoes: $100 per year (on last pay period of March of each year) to cover part of cost of CSA safety shoes or boots for maintenance personnel.
Uniforms/clothing: $150 per year (on last pay period of March of each year) to cover part of cost of uniforms or work apparel. Maintenance personnel will receive employer-issued uniforms, including shirts, pants, cargo shorts, coveralls/overalls
