Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 14, 2019 to Feb. 13, 2022. Signed on May 31, 2019.

Shift premium: $1 per hour of premium pay per shift for split-shifts that are split more than once. $1 per hour for any period employee is scheduled to be available for training other employees; $2 per hour for off-base training. $2 per hour for working as lead-agent. $1.50 per hour for all scheduled working hours in shift for employee who works scheduled shift that has non-paid break longer than permitted meal break.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 3.08 hours per pay period to start, 2 weeks or 3.08 hours per pay period after 1 year, 3 weeks or 4.62 hours per pay period after 6 years, 4 weeks or 6.15 hours per pay period after 12 years. Accrual at end of calendar year that is less than 40 hours will be carried over from year to year until it is sufficient, when added to that year’s accrual, to provide another week of vacation.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours in 1 day or after 40 hours in any 1 workweek.

Vision: $300 for eyeglasses, contact lenses in each 24-month period.

Sick leave: 1 day (8 hours) for each month of employment (pro rata at 3.69 hours for each biweekly period) maximum 6 days per year. Maximum 80 hours accrual in sick bank. Leave will be reinstated if employee is rehired; returns from lay-off within 18 month; returns after 1 year of termination.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (parent of employee or spouse, common-law partner of parent, spouse or common-law partner, stepfather, stepmother, child of employee, child of employee’s spouse or common-law partner, brother, sister, father or mother of employee or spouse, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren of employee and spouse).

Seniority – recall rights: 26 weeks for employee who takes leave for union business. 6 months for employee who transfers to another company position that is not covered by agreement. 18 months for employee laid-off for lack of work.

Probationary period: 6 months.

Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for letters of reprimand and other disciplinary letters.

Severance: Greater of 2 days’ wages for each year of service or 5 days’ wages at employee’s regular rate for employees displaced due to technological change.

Safety shoes: Employer will reimburse employee for 50% of cost of 1 pair of steel-toed CSA-approved safety shoes, maximum $60.

Uniforms/clothing: $12 per month for employee who is issued uniform pieces that require dry-cleaning. Employees will be reimbursed with 1 pair of molded ear plugs every 2 years, if requested.

Mileage: $0.21 per kilometre.

4 year: $17.12 rising 2 steps to $18.73

5 year: $17.80 rising 2 steps to $19.48

6 year: $18.52 rising 2 steps to $20.26

7 year: $19.26 rising 2 steps to $21.07

8 year: $23.23 rising 2 steps to $23.94

Editor’s notes: Pass travel: Employer will provide maximum 12 round-trip union business passes each year at no cost. Passes may be used for travel by shop stewards to meetings with employer or other purposes approved by employer. Travel meals: $55 per day; $15 for breakfast or lunch; $25 for dinner. Paid education leave: Employer will pay $500 per year into fund established to provide paid education leave.
