Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2021 to June 30, 2024. Signed on Jan. 1, 2021.

Shift premium: $0.45 per hour for afternoon shift. $0.50 per hour for night shift, graveyard shift. $1 per hour for each straight-time hour worked on Saturday, Sunday. $3.75 per hour (previously $2.50 per hour) for employee working in Snow Lake and not living in employer-subsidized accommodation.

Vacations with pay: 10 days to start, 11 days after 2 years, 12 days after 3 years, 13 days after 4 years, 15 days after 5 years, 16 days after 7 years, 17 days after 9 years, 18 days after 11 years, 19 days after 13 years, 21 days after 15 years, 22 days after 20 years, 23 days after 21 years, 24 days after 22 years, 25 days after 23 years. After each 3 years of service, employees will receive 3 weeks of special vacation with pay.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time may be banked, maximum $10,000, which will be paid out if amount is reached.

Meal allowance: Employer will supply meal to employee or at employer’s or employee’s request $15 will be paid in lieu of meal for each additional 3 hours overtime such employee works, and employee will be provided with additional lunch period.

Dental: 100% coverage of basic; 60% for major; maximum $2,250.00 per person, per calendar year.

Vision: Coverage of $300 per eligible member every 24 months.

AD&D: Coverage of $45,000.

Life insurance: Coverage of $45,000.

Bereavement leave: Maximum 10 days for death of spouse, son, daughter. Maximum 5 days (previously 3 days) for death of mother, father, sister, brother, mother-in-law, father-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, grandmother, grandfather, spouse’s grandmother, spouse’s grandfather, grandchild, any relative residing in employee’s household.

Seniority – recall rights: 180 calendar days for employee displaced from job who elected voluntary layoff instead of job in another department.

Call-in pay: Pay for full time worked plus 1 hour, minimum 4 hours worked.

Probationary period: 480 hours worked (including overtime hours worked).

Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months (previously 18 months) for any non-punitive discipline.

Severance: 1 week’s pay of 40 straight hours for each year of service. 1 week’s pay of 40 straight hours for each year of service, maximum 10 weeks, if employee wishes employment to be terminated rather than downgraded due to technological change.

Editor’s notes: Apprentice bonus: $100 for apprentice who has completed term of instruction, plus $1,000 after 1 year as journeyman tradesman with employer. $100 for who attains second-class power-engineering certificate, plus $2,000 after 1 year as second-class power-engineer with employer.
