Renewal agreement: Effective Nov. 3, 2020 to Nov. 2, 2024. Signed on May 20, 2021.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Nov. 3, 2020: 2%
Effective Nov. 3, 2021: 2%
Effective Nov. 3, 2022: 2%
Effective Nov. 3, 2023: 2.25%
Shift premium: $1 per hour worked by driver and sorter lead-hands. $0.75 per hour for all hours worked between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. $1.50 per hour for spare driver. $0.25 per hour for employee designated to act as first-aid attendant. $1 for all hours worked on Saturday and Sundays. Time and one-half, plus fuel, for all work on weekend.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 25 years. Maximum 2 weeks of vacation time may be carried over to end of April in following year if it is not all used by end of year.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all time worked after 40 hours per week and over after 8 hours per day for sorters; 45 hours per week and 9 hours per day for couriers.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums, after 6 months of continuous service.
Dental: 50% reimbursement for major dental including crowns, bridges, child ortho. Maximum $2,000 per year (previously $1,500 per year). Child orthodontics will have separate cap of $1,500 per individual covered per lifetime.
Paramedical: Maximum $500 per year with each visit compensated at 80%.
STD: Coverage of 66.67% of weekly earnings, maximum $1,500 for first 15 weeks.
LTD: Coverage of 66.67% of monthly earnings, maximum $10,000 per month.
Life insurance: Coverage of $50,000.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, brother, sister, recognized spouse (including same-sex, common-law spouse), child (including stepchild, adopted child), mother-in-law, father-in-law, any relative of employee who resides in employee’s household). Leave may be extended by extra 2 unpaid days or for 2 paid days for death of spouse or child of employee.
Seniority – recall rights: 18 months after layoff or leave of absence due to license suspension; 90 consecutive days of employment in position outside bargaining unit.
Probationary period: 60 days worked.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 6 months for verbal warnings; 18 months for written reprimands.
Severance: 1 week of pay for each year of service, after 1 year of service.
Safety shoes: $130 (previously $125) once every 12 months.

Editor’s notes: Paid education leave: Employer will pay $2,500 per year towards union’s paid educational leave program. Commercial vehicle inspections: Employer will reimburse employee for cost of commercial vehicle inspections, maximum $75.
