Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2022 to March 31, 2027. Signed on July 12, 2022.
Paid holidays: 14 days, including National Indigenous Peoples Day, National Truth and Reconciliation Day, plus last 4 hours on last regularly scheduled day or shift prior to New Year’s Day; last 4 hours on last regularly scheduled day or shift prior to Christmas Day.
Vacations with pay: 15 days to start, 20 days after 5 years, 25 days after 15 years. On request, an employee will qualify for extra 20 days, unpaid, after every 5 years of employment.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 3 hours worked; double time thereafter for time worked before or after employee’s regular workday, regular workweek, on holiday. May be taken as time off in lieu.
Meal allowance: 1 half-hour meal break, with pay, for employee who works more than 2 hours of overtime; additional meal break will be allowed for each additional 3 hours of overtime.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premium.
Weekly indemnity: Coverage of 75% of pay, maximum $750 per week, maximum 17 weeks.
Sick leave: 1.5 days for every 140 hours worked, maximum 18 days per year.
LTD: Coverage of 75% of pay, maximum $4,000 per month, until 65 years old.
Life insurance: 2 times annual earnings, maximum $200,000 for each employee.
Pension: Employer will contribute 3%, 5%, 8% of pay to retirement plan, to match amount contribution employee chooses to make.
Bereavement leave: 3 days leave for death in immediate family or extended family member including in-laws. 2 additional days when travel is required. Employee may take up to 1 day of entitlement after funeral.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs.
Call-in pay: Minimum 3 hours at overtime rates whenever there is break between employee’s regularly scheduled hours and work employee is called in to do. Employee will be paid from time they are called to report for duty until employee arrives back upon proceeding directly to and from work.
Probationary period: 480 hours of employment.
Severance: 4 weeks’ pay.
