Renewal agreement: Effective Oct. 1, 2022 to Sept. 30, 2025. Signed on June 13, 2023.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Oct. 1, 2022: 3.24%

Effective Oct. 1, 2023: 5.5%

Effective Oct. 1, 2024: 2%

Paid holidays: 13 days, including National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. 4 hours on New Year’s Eve and 4 hours on Christmas Eve,

Vacations with pay: 20 days to start, 21 days after 6 years, 22 days after 7 years, 25 days after 8 years, 26 days after 9 years, 27 days after 10 years, 28 days after 11 years, 29 days after 12 years, 30 days after 13 years, 35 days after 20 years. Employee may carry over up to 10 days’ vacation leave per vacation year except that total carryover will not exceed 20 days at any time.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Paramedical: Maximum annual cap for massage practitioners: $1,000; physiotherapists: $2,000.

LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Pension: Municipal Pension Plan.

Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (employee’s parent, stepparent, former guardian, spouse, fiancé, common-law spouse, child, stepchild, brother, sister, father-in-law, mother-in-law, any other relative with whom employee resides). 1 days for death of grandparent, grandchild, aunt, uncle, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law. Employee may request special paid bereavement leave of 1 day to attend funeral of close friend or relative not listed.

Seniority – recall rights: 1 year from effective date of layoff.

Severance: Effective April 1, 2024: 4 weeks’ current salary for each year of service, maximum 12 months.

Mileage: $0.61 per kilometre for all distances traveled on employer business.

To help address recruitment and retention concerns, effective Oct. 1, 2024, flat rate of $450 will be added to years of call 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10.

Editor’s notes: Professional development fund: $1,300 per staff lawyer per fiscal year for fees for professional development. Meal allowance: $13 for breakfast (previously $12.25); $15 for lunch (previously $14.25); $26 for dinner (previously $24.50); $54 in total (previously $51).
