Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2019 to Aug. 31, 2022. Signed on March 13, 2019.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 1, 2018: 2%
Effective Sept. 1, 2019: 2%
Effective Sept. 1, 2020: increase equal to percentage increase to base funding in each year
Effective Sept. 1, 2021: increase equal to percentage increase to base funding in each year
Paid holidays: 12 days (Canada Day, August Civic Holiday are applicable only to employees who work during July or August, if they have worked during week prior and during week after holiday).
Vacations with pay: 1 1/4days’ leave for each month of employment, during August to start, 3weeks after 1 year, 4weeks after 6 years, 5 weeks after 14years, 6 weeks after 20years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 7 or 7.5 or 8hours per day or after 35 or 37.5 or 40hours per week. Double time for worked on statutory holidays and days of rest.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 93% of premiums, employee pays 7% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 93% of premiums, employee pays 7% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 93% of premiums, employee pays 7% of premiums.
Sick leave: 2 working days per month worked, maximum 100days. 10-month employee will earn leave during July if employee works 10 days or more in July. 10-month employee will earn leave during August if employee works 10 days or more in August.
AD&D: Employer pays 93% of premiums, employee pays 7% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 93% of premiums, employee pays 7% of premiums.
Pension: Local Authorities Pension Plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death of spouse, common-law spouse, parent, sister, niece, daughter-in-law, child, grandparent, aunt, sister-in-law, stepchild, grandchild, uncle, brother-in-law, stepparent, brother, nephew, son-in-law, other relative who is member of employee’s household.
Seniority – recall rights: 18months for layoff.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at regular rate of pay.
Probationary period: 5 consecutive months worked.
