Renewal agreement: Effective March 1, 2021 to February 29, 2024. Ratified on March 29, 2021. Signed on April 1, 2021.
Wage adjustments:
Effective March 1, 2021: 1.5%
Effective March 1, 2022: $1 per hour for LPN/cook
Effective March 1, 2023: 2%
Effective after pandemic: $1 per hour for LPN/cook
Shift premium: $2 for all hours worked from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. on night shift. $1.50 for all hours worked from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. on evening shift. $1.50 for all hours worked from 11 p.m. Friday to 11 p.m. Sunday on weekend shift. $4 for all hours worked as sole staff member in lodge. $1 per hour for every hour worked during outbreak as declared by Saskatchewan medical health officer (premium will become effective once current COVID-19 pandemic is declared over by Saskatchewan medical health officer).
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: Prorated vacation to start, 10 days after 1 year, 15 days after 4 years, 20 days after 10 years, 25 days after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day or 160 hours in 4-week period. Time and one-half for work 8.25 hours per day for LPNs.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 75% of premiums for 80% coverage under extended health care plan. Employer will provide $300 per year ($150 per year for part-time employees) for health spending account. Any unused allocation as of Dec. 31 of each year is carried forward, maximum 1 year.
Dental: Employer pays 75% of premiums, employee pays 75% of premiums for 100% coverage based on Alberta dental fee guide.
Sick leave: 1.25 days per month. May be accumulated at 15 days per year, maximum 60 working days.
Life insurance: Employee pays 100% of premiums for coverage of $25,000.
Pension: After completion of 1,040 hours of service, employee will be eligible to participate in RRSP program: employer, employee contribute up to 4% after 1 year; up to 5% after 5 years; up to 6% after 10 years; up to 7% after 15 years.
Bereavement leave: 4 days for death in immediate family (spouse, common-law spouse, partner, daughter, son, sister, brother, mother, father, parent-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, grandparents, step-family members). 1 half-day leave to attend funeral as pallbearer. Copy of death certificate, obituary, funeral card must be submitted before next pay day.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs.
Probationary period: 690 hours worked, without break in service (employees will only serve 1 probationary period).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for disciplinary notices.
Safety shoes: Each employee will be reimbursed by employer $50, once each 12-month period, for work wear, either clothing or footwear. Any unused allocation as of Dec. 31 of each year is not carried forward.
