Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2023 to Jan. 31, 2026. Signed on Jan. 17, 2023.
Wage adjustments:
Effective first Sunday in November 2023: 2.5%
Effective first Sunday in November 2024: 2.5%
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks or 4% to start, 3 weeks or 6% after 5 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work on holiday. Time and one-half for work after 8 hours in 1 day or 44 hours in 1 week.
Medical benefits: Clean Harbors Canada group benefits program.
Pension: Employer will provide group retirement savings plan to all employees.
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months after layoff.
Call-in pay: Minimum of 3 hours of pay at applicable rate.
Probationary period: Mandatory 90 calendar days.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 24 months for employee who has been subject to disciplinary action.
Uniforms/clothing: PPE will be supplied to employees as required. Employer will supply clothes locker, gloves, 2 pairs of coveralls to those employees employed in hydrovac operation (gloves will be replaced without charge when worn-out gloves are presented for exchange).

Group 2 hydrovac operator 2: $35
Group 3 hydrovac operator in training: $32
Group 4 hydrovac tech 3: $26
Group 5 hydrovac tech 2: $24.50
Group 6 hydrovac tech in training: $23
Shop rate for hydrovac operators: $20
Shop rate for hydrovac techs: $18
Editor’s notes: Room and board: Employees requested to travel and are required to stay overnight will be provided employer-paid accommodations and per diem allowance of $50 per night.
