Renewal agreement: Effective Dec. 4, 2019 to Dec. 31, 2022. Ratified on Dec. 4, 2019. Signed on Dec. 13, 2019.

Wage adjustments:

Effective April 1, 2019: 2.1%

Effective April 1, 2020: 2.1%

Effective April 1, 2021: 2.1%

Effective April 1, 2022: 2.1%

Shift premium: 8% for evening-shift hours; 10% for night-shift hours. Additional 1.2 hours’ pay for regular Saturday shifts; 2.4 hours’ pay for regular Sunday shifts.

Paid holidays: 14 days.

Vacations with pay: 5/6 of 1 day per month to start, 1 1/4 days per month after 2 years, 1 2/3 days per month after 9 years, 2 1/12 days per month after 19 years.

Overtime: Straight time for first 2.5 hours per week, in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Time and one-half for all hours after 2.5 and all Sunday hours. Double time for Sundays after working Saturday as well. Double time for all hours worked on statutory holiday. Time and one-half for all irregular hours.

Medical benefits: Group insurance plan.

Dental: $500 per year after completion of 12 months of continuous service.

Sick leave: 1 day per month of service, maximum 10 days per year.

STD: Full or partial salary for absence from work due to sickness or accident, up to 6 months.

Pension: RRSP program

Bereavement leave: 3 regular working days for death of spouse, parent, parent-in-law, stepparent, guardian, child, stepchild, child-in-guardianship, sibling, sibling-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, relative with whom employee resides.

Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay at appropriate overtime rate for unplanned work assignment. 1 hour’s pay for returning phone call for advice on work-related activity.

Probationary period: 3 months.

Uniforms/clothing: $130 per year for approved safety frames for prescription safety glasses. $200 per year for shatter-proof lenses. Employer covers cost of repair or replacement of lenses if worn or broken during normal duties.
