Renewal agreement: Effective June 5, 2018 to June 4, 2022. Ratified on Nov. 9, 2018. Signed on June 26, 2018.
Shift premium: $0.80 per hour for all hours of work between 7p.m. and 6 a.m.
Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 4% of hours paid, maximum 80 hours, to start; 6% of hours paid, maximum 120 hours, after 2 years; 8% of hours paid, maximum 160 hours, after 5 years; 10% of hours paid, maximum 200 hours, after 9 years. Employee may carry forward hours to following year, maximum 40hours. $1 for all hours between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all work after 8 hours per day or 80 hours biweekly. May be taken as time off in lieu.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Vision: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Paramedical: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
LTD: Coverage of 70% of salary, maximum $6,000 per month.
Pension: Employer contributes 5%, employee contributes 3% to pension plan (money purchase plan).
Bereavement leave: 4 scheduled shifts for death of parent, stepparent, spouse, common-law spouse, life-partner, child, stepchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, brother, sister, grandchild. 3 scheduled shifts for death of ward of employee, relative residing in employee’s household. 1 scheduled shift for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle niece, nephew, grandparent or for attending funeral as pallbearer or confirmed memorial service. 2additional scheduled shifts for funeral or confirmed memorial service with distance more than 250 kilometres each way.
Seniority – recall rights: 24months.
Probationary period: 6months.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12months for verbal or written disciplinary documents; 18months for suspensions.
Severance: 1 week’s pay for each year of service, maximum 15 weeks.
Safety shoes: $175 per year (previously $150 per year) for CSA-approved protective footwear. May be carried over into following year, maximum $350.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will provide all employees, whose work requires them to wear protective devices, with necessary tools, equipment, protective clothing required including footwear, safety glasses. These will be maintained and replaced, where necessary, at employer’s expense.
Mileage: $0.41 per kilometre (previously $0.40 per kilometre) for up to 12,000 kilometres per year; $0.33 per kilometre (previously $0.32 per kilometre) for more than 12,000 kilometres per year; $0.22 per kilometre (previously $0.21 per kilometre) for use of privately owned vehicle.

Standby: $17 for each 24-hour period on regular working day; $32 for each 24-hour period on day of rest or paid holiday. Casino site gratuities: Eligible table games employees (table games dealers and inspectors) as well as EGD employees will retain 80% of tips generated in respective departments. Remaining 20% and any additional tips received in non-table games and EGD areas at each site will be shared equally amongst those eligible to receive tips at casino, exclusive of table-games employees and EGD employees. Social justice fund: Employer will make contribution of $10,000 each year to social justice fund. Paid education leave fund: Employer will contribute $0.04 per regular hour worked per Unifor member employee into paid education leave fund. Retiree health-spending account: Employer will provide $500 per year for full-time employees who are retiring, $400 per year for part-time employees who are retiring, into retiree health spending account. Employees must be at least 55 years old, minimum 10 years of service, to qualify.
