Renewal agreement: Effective Jan. 1, 2021 to Dec. 31, 2025. Signed on Dec. 9, 2020.
Shift premium: $0.30 per hour for employee holding first-aid certificate who id designated as class C first-aid attendant. $0.50 per hour for employee who begins work at 2 p.m. or later or before 4 a.m. $1 per hour for commercial transport inspection ticket. $0.40 per hour for double trailers.
Paid holidays: 11 days.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 120 hours after 3 years, 160 hours after 9 years, 200 hours after 15 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for work after 8 hours per day; double time after 3 hours of overtime. Double time for first 8 hours worked on Sunday or holiday; triple time after 8 hours of overtime; quadruple time after 10 hours of overtime.
Meal allowance: Employee will receive paid time off to eat meal after 2 hours of overtime.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums to Teamsters benefit plan.
Pension: Teamsters national pension plan.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of parent, spouse, brother, sister, child, parent-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, stepchildren, legal guardian, grandparents; spouse’s grandparents and grandchildren.
Seniority – recall rights: 1 year after layoff; 18 months after 5 years of seniority.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours of pay.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 12 months for written reprimands, warning letters.
Safety shoes: $100 per year. Employer will provide raingear (rubber slip-on boots, slickers, rubbers gloves) for hauling of dangerous goods.
Uniforms/clothing: Employee will be reimbursed for PPE, maximum $150 per year (employee may combine 2 years of allowance to purchase higher quality of PPE). Maintenance shop employees will be provided with clean coveralls, gloves, welding masks, rubber gloves.
Tool allowance: Maximum $300 reimbursement for tool replacements, repairs and additions.
Sample rates of hourly pay (current, after 4% increase):
Driver: $26.95 rising 2 steps to $27.85
Mechanics/welder: $33.80 rising 2 steps to $35.10
Editor’s notes: Licensing: Employer will contribute $80 (previously $25) when driver has to undertake physical examination as requirement to hold valid license. Personal days: 5 days (3 are paid), after 90 days of employment. Additional 3 days after 1 year of service. Employees will accumulate days at 0.5 days per month, maximum 30 days. Turnaround: 1 meal, paid by employer at maximum $6.50, when drivers are on 10-hour of more turnaround.
