Renewal agreement: Effective Feb. 1, 2023 to Jan. 31, 2024. Signed on Feb. 1, 2023.

Shift premium: $2.50 per hour for employees working between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m.

Paid holidays: 11 days.

Vacations with pay: 3 weeks to start, 4 weeks after 5 years.

Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked in excess of 8 regular straight-time hours per day and 40 regular straight-time hours per week. Time and one-half for all hours worked on Saturday and Sunday.

Medical benefits: Employer will contribute $1.47 per hour (previously $1.40 per hour) to OpenCircle benefit plan.

Sick leave: 2% of base rate for all hours worked, paid to employees on each pay including final pay at termination of employment.

Pension: CLAC pension plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days to make arrangements for or to attend funeral, memorial service or celebration of life event of spouse, common-law spouse, child, legal dependant, parents, parents-in-law, legal guardian, brother (in-law), sister (in-law), grandparents, grandchildren.

Call-in pay: Paid from time employee leaves home until return home at time and one-half, minimum 2 hours per call-in, unless call-in is due to negligence of employee.

Probationary period: 6 calendar months.

Safety shoes: Employer will reimburse 50% of cost, maximum $200 for CSA-approved safety boots (minimum 6-inch uppers).

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply employees with gloves, hearing protection, non-prescription safety glasses, shields, goggles, fire-retardant coveralls, raingear, particulate masks, breathing apparatus, fall-arrest equipment when required.

Mileage: $0.55 per kilometre if employee uses own vehicle for transportation between more than 1 different job per day during working hours.

General foreman 4 (152%): $59.50

General foreman 3 (140%): $55

General foreman 2 (129%): $50.50

General foreman 1 (119%): $46.50

Foreman (114%): $44.75

Sub-forgeman (106%): $41.61

Electrician (100%): $39.25

Apprentice electrician

Fourth-year (90%): $35.33

Third-year (80%): $31.40

Second-year (70%): $27.48

First-year (60%): $23.55

Steward premium (based upon journeyman wage rate)

Toolbox 3: $40.25

Toolbox 2: $40

Toolbox 1: $39.75

Editor’s notes: On call: 4 hours pay per week for being on call based on 7-day rotation and 1 employee. Union/management meetings: $20 to committee member for each meeting attended when meetings are held outside of regular working hours. Prescription safety eyewear: Employer will reimburse employee for t prescription safety eyewear, maximum $150.
