Renewal agreement: Effective Sept. 1, 2012, to Aug. 31, 2016. Signed on March 6, 2015.
Wage adjustments:
Effective Sept. 1, 2013: $1,400 bonus
Effective Sept. 1, 2014: 2%

Paid holidays: 12 days.
Vacations with pay: 50 days per academic year for instructors and demonstrators. 24 days per academic year for research and technical employees and research assistants.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all hours worked beyond 35 hours per week. Time and one-half when an employee is required to work at sea for more than 7 hours per day.
Sick leave: Sick leave will not exceed 480 days in aggregate.
Bereavement leave: 3 days for employee’s father, mother, brother, sister, child, spouse, grandparent, grandchild, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law or relative living in the same household. 1 day for employee’s uncle, aunt, brother-in-law or sister-in-law. 1 additional day when the ceremony occurs more than 200 km away from employee’s residence.
Seniority – recall rights: 13 months for temporary or contractual employees. 25 months for permanent employees.
Probationary period: 2 years.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years.
Severance: 1 week’s salary per completed year of continuous service to a maximum of 20 weeks’ pay for employees with at least 9 years of service.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer provides any protective clothing or devices required in accordance with occupational health and safety regulations. The employer will provide laundering free of charge as required.
