Renewal agreement: Effective March 9, 2022 to Nov. 16, 2025. Signed on Dec. 9, 2022.

Wage adjustments:

Effective Nov. 21, 2021: $1 per hour

Effective Nov. 20, 2022: $0.75 per hour

Effective Nov. 19, 2023: $0.75 per hour

Effective Nov. 17, 2024: $0.75 per hour

Shift premium: $0.80 per hour for all regular hours worked between 9 p.m. and 12:30 am. $1 per hour for night shifts. $0.50 per hour for early morning shifts. $0.50 per hour for hours worked prior to 8:30 a.m. on Saturdays; 9 a.m. on all other days. $1 per hour for hours worked for employee scheduled for night shift of 8 hours between store closing and store opening. $7 per night for employee who has responsibility of carrying store keys when night leader is not scheduled. $2 per hour for employee who is assigned responsibilities of being in-charge when store manager, assistant store manager are not at work.

Paid holidays: 10 days.

Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 16 years.

Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums.

Dental: Employer will pay $0.33 per hour, for all hours worked (including Sunday hours) into UFCW Locals 175 and 633 Ontario Dental Benefit Trust Fund (with additional $0.02 per hour worked if deemed necessary by joint trustees).

Vision: Coverage of $300 (previously $225) over 2 for frames, lens, prescription glass. $300 (previously $225) over 2 consecutive years for artificial eyes, services of visual training, non-cosmetic corrective prescription contact lens, resulting from visual acuity of less than 20/40 or corneal disease (special cases only). Includes $25 deductible.

LTD: Employer pays 100% of premiums after 1 year of service.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death in immediate family (brother, sister, father, mother, spouse as defined in law, son, daughter, mother-in-law, father-in-law, grandfather, grandmother, grandchildren, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, stepparent, stepchild. Employees may retain 1 day of allowance to attend internment scheduled at later date but must be within 1 year of death.

Seniority – recall rights: 18 months after layoff.   

Probationary period: 25 worked days.

Safety shoes: $125 per year (previously $100 per year) for CSA-approved footwear if employer requires employees to wear protective footwear.

Uniforms/clothing: Employer will supply each store with 1 freezer coat per freezer. Employer will supply 2 garments to each store for use on carry-out, carriage pickups. 1 pair of waterproof over-boots and 1 waterproof apron for each meat department will be provided.

30 months: $23 rising 3 steps to $24.20
