Renewal agreement: Effective May 1, 2019 to April 30, 2022. Signed on May 1, 2019.
Wage adjustments:
Effective May 1, 2019: 2%
Effective May 1, 2020: 2%
Effective May 1, 2021: 2%
Shift premium: $1 per hour for damage responsibility. $1 per hour for quality control responsibility. $0.75 per hour for business responsibility.
Paid holidays: 11 days plus 1 floating holiday.
Vacations with pay: Up to 2 weeks or 4% to start, 2 weeks or 4% after 1 year, 3 weeks or 6% after 3 years, 4 weeks or 8% after 5 years, 5 weeks or 10% after 10 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for first 2 hours in excess of 9.5 work hours per day; for first 8 hours in excess of 40 work hours per week. Double time for all hours worked in excess of first 11.5 work hours per day; for all hours worked in excess of first 48 work hours per week.
Medical benefits: Employer will pay 100% of premium costs for coverage under BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) and extended health plan.
Dental: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Sick leave: Eligible employees will accrue credits at 6.66% of straight-time hours worked, maximum accrued leave of 60 hours of credit.
AD&D: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Life insurance: Employer pays 100% of premiums.
Bereavement leave: 4 shifts for death in immediate family (mother, father, legal guardian, son, daughter, sister, brother, spouse, partner, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparents, grandchildren, stepparents, stepchildren).
Seniority – recall rights: 6 months to start; 12 months after 1 year of seniority, after layoff.
Call-in pay: Greater of actual time worked or 4 hours at straight-time.
Probationary period: 60 work shifts or 6 calendar months, whichever occurs first.
Discipline: Sunset clause is 18 months for any disciplinary documents.

Editor’s notes: Health and fitness: Employer will reimburse employees, maximum $40 per month, for membership fees in health and fitness club. Staff meetings: When employee attends staff meeting during regular working hours, employee will be compensated at regular hourly rate for time spent in attendance. Employee who attends staff meeting is not entitled to claim overtime pay for attendance, unless time spent in meeting results in employee working more than 9.5 hours in 1 day or more than 40 hours in 1 week.
