Renewal agreement: Effective May 5, 2019 to April 30, 2023. Signed on Feb. 12, 2020.
Shift premium: $1.55 per hour (previously $1.50 per hour), including overtime hours, between 4 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. $3.87 per hour (previously $3.75 per hour), including overtime hours, midnight and 8 a.m. for employee working rotating or irregular shifts. $2.58 per hour (previously $2.50 per hour) for work on Saturday, Sunday. $12.36 per hour (previously $12 per hour) for each hour during which employee provides training, when flight-service specialist is assigned to provide training to flight-service specialist. $1,030 per year for operational employees who provide operational service in both official languages. $20 per shift (previously $10 per shift) for employees who perform higher-level supervisory responsibilities for majority of 1 shift.
Paid holidays: 10 plus 1 day as civic holiday in August.
Vacations with pay: 112.5 hours to start, 150 hours after 8 years, 172.5 hours after 17 years, 187.5 hours after 18 years, 202.5 hours after 27 years, 225 hours after 28 years for non-operating employees. 120 hours to start, 160 hours after 8 years, 176 hours after 16 years, 184 hours after 17 years, 200 hours after 18 years, 216 hours after 27 years, 240 hours after 28 years for operating employees. Any remaining vacation leave, maximum 50 hours, will be carried over into next vacation year. Any leave hours in excess of 50 hours will be paid off.
Overtime: Paid at double time.
Meal allowance: After 3 hours of overtime, employee will be reimbursed for 1 meal, except where free meals are provided, at rate equivalent to lunch allowance as provided under current travel guidelines. 1 additional meal or reimbursement after each subsequent 4 hours of overtime.
Sick leave: 9.375 hours for each month.
Pension: NAV CANADA pension plan.
Bereavement leave: 5 days for death in immediate family (father, mother, stepfather, stepmother, foster-parent, brother, sister, spouse, common-law spouse resident with employee, child, child of common-law spouse, stepchild, ward of employee, father-in-law, mother-in-law, grandparent, grandchild, relative residing in employee’s household). 1 day for death of son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, uncle.
Seniority – recall rights: 12 months after layoffs
Probationary period: 12 months of service (absences from work for whatever reason exceeding 30 days will not be counted in 12-months probationary period).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 2 years for notice of disciplinary action.
Severance: 2 weeks’ pay for first year of continuous employment; 1 week’s pay for each additional year of employment, maximum 30 weeks’ pay, on first layoff; 1 week’s pay for each year of employment, maximum 29 weeks’ pay, on second or subsequent layoff.
