Renewal agreement: Effective April 1, 2015, to March 31, 2018. Signed on April 11, 2015.

Wage adjustments: 
Effective April 1, 2015: 2.5%
Effective April 1, 2016: 2.75%

Paid holidays: 13 days including employee’s birthday.

Vacations with pay: 10/12 of a day for each month worked to start, 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 3 years, 4 weeks after 8 years, 5 weeks after 15 years, 6 weeks after 29 years (28 years as of April 1, 2017).

Overtime: Time and-one-half for first 3 hours worked in excess of 8 hours daily, double time thereafter. Time and-one-half for first 4 hours worked on first scheduled rest day each week, double time thereafter. Double time if employee has already worked 48 hours during the work week. Double-time on a holiday.
Medical benefits: Company paid premiums.

Dental: Company paid premiums.

Vision: $225 per year for prescription safety glasses. Company will pay half the cost of laser eye surgery to a lifetime maximum of $500.

Weekly indemnity: 66 2/3% of salary to a maximum of 26 weeks.

LTD: 60% of wage rate from 27th week of disability to age 65.

AD&D: $65,000

Life insurance: $65,000 until retirement. Company-paid premiums.

Pension: Company-paid benefits to mandatory pension plan.

Bereavement leave: 3 days for death of immediate family member. 7 days for death of a spouse, child, stepchild or unborn child in second or third trimester. Employer’s discretion for miscarriage prior to second trimester. 1 day for death of sibling-in-law, son- or daughter-in-law, spouse’s grandparent, niece or nephew. 1 unpaid day to attend a funeral. 3 unpaid days to attend out-of-province funeral of a family member.

Probationary period: 720 hours worked.

Uniforms/clothing: $125 per year for coveralls.

Safety shoes: $160 per year.

Assistant production worker, assistant machine operator, painter helper, material handler, maintenance facilities technician: $23.26
Utility person: $22.25

Editor’s notes: Parking: Free parking will be provided on a first-come-first-served basis in designated areas. Education costs: Employer pays for 32 hours of health and safety education per committee person per year. Gambling: Gambling as defined in the Criminal Code of Canada is prohibited on company property.
