Wage adjustments:
Effective March 4, 2020: 2.5%
Effective March 4, 2021: 2%
Effective March 4, 2022: 2%
Effective March 4, 2023: 2.2% (non-gratuity staff), 2% (gratuity staff)
Shift premium: $0.45 per hour for any shift in which majority of scheduled hours are between 11 p.m. and 7 a.m. $0.50 per hour for all hours acting as trainer.
Paid holidays: 10 days including employee’s birthday.
Vacations with pay: 2 weeks after 1 year, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 9 years, 5 weeks after 20 years.
Overtime: Time and one-half for all authorized hours worked in excess of 44 per week.
Medical benefits: Employer pays 100% of premiums for union-sponsored health and welfare plan. $203 per month to start; $206 per month in year 2; $210 per month in year 3; $215 per month in year 4.
Pension: Employer contributes $0.28 per hour worked, rising 2 steps to $0.30 per hour worked in year 4 of contract.
Bereavement leave: 3 paid days for death of parent, current spouse, child, child of spouse, sibling, grandparent, parent-in-law, sibling-in-law. If employee cannot attend funeral of any of above, 2 paid days for death of spouse, sibling, parent, child and 1 paid day for any of others.
Seniority – recall rights: 9 months.
Call-in pay: Minimum 4 hours’ pay. Not applicable to scheduled split shift.
Probationary period: 680 hours (75 days for full-time employee).
Discipline: Sunset clause is 14 months for reprimands and warnings and 18 months for suspension, except those relating to serious matters such as sexual harassment and other human rights violations.
Safety shoes: $200 per year for steel-toed safety shoes for any employee in maintenance department, receiving department, bell desk.
Uniforms/clothing: Employer will pay 85% of cost for listed uniform items every 12 months, with employee’s portion not exceeding $75 per year. Front desk/AYS/night audit: 2 blouses, 2 skirts or pants, 2 jackets, 2 men’s shirts, 1 tie. Bell person/valet: 2 jackets, 2 pants, 2 shirts, 1 tie. Housekeeping: 2 tunics, 2 pants. Laundry: 2 scrubs tops, 2 scrubs pants. Engineering: 2 shirts, 2 pants. Banquet servers: 2 banquet jackets. Banquet porters: 2 shirts. Great room: 2 shirts. Receiving: 2 shirts. Starbucks: 2 shirts. Room service: 2 shirts, 1 vest, 1 tie. Café & Milestones: 2 shirts, 2 pants, 1 apron.
Tool allowance: $50 every 2 years for maintenance department employees.

Editor’s notes: Gratuities: In addition to base wages, employer will provide for bargaining unit banquet staff hired before March 4, 2018, gratuities based upon 10.75% by way of employee gratuity pool, with distribution of deemed gratuities as follows: servers/bartenders 6.96%, porters 2%, kitchen (includes stewards): 1.79%. For banquet staff hired after March 3, 2018, gratuities are based on 9.75% and porter receive 1%. Restaurant staff gratuities based upon 10.53% of net tour/group food and/or beverage revenue as follows: servers/bartenders: 7.75%, kitchen (includes kitchen night cleaners, cooks and stewards): 2.775% For Milestones and Marriott Café staff, 3.5% cash tip out breakdown with 3% to host, bussers, kitchen and 0.5% to House staff. Baggage and amenity handling: For each tour bag directed by management to be handled by bell person/doorperson: $2 per bag in, bag, and vehicle valet-parked per customer stay for employees hired prior to March 4, 2018. $1.75 per bag in, bag, and $2 for every vehicle valet-parked per customer stay for employees hired after March 3, 2018. Room service employee, bell person, housekeeping or porter will receive $3.50 per room charge for organized billed deliveries. Education/health and safety fund: Employer will contribute $700 per month. Training/trust fund: Employer will contribute $1,600 per year.
